Dr. Steven L. Mackey earned his B.S. in chemical engineering at Auburn University before earning his medical degree at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine. He completed his transitional internship at the Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, Va., and his three-year dermatology residency at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Md. He has been in private practice since 1997.

A native of Alabama, Dr. Mackey is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners. He is a Provider and Instructor of Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Trauma Life Support.

Dr. Mackey and his wife, Donna, have three children, Clark, Kyle and Kacie.
